Silver Buffalo was one of eleven veterans invited to display their artwork at this event by the Commander of Post 1527.

I'm not sure if there were eleven veterans because Veterans Day is on the 11th, but I was very honored to be one of them.

Mermaid Themed Guitar

Designed and made for the Burnetts. The newlyweds were very pleased with this wedding gift and have display on their wall.

This guitar was a little challenging, I had to scale my drawing to the guitar. I made a cardboard cutout of the guitar body and then drew the design on the cutout. Then I transferred the picture on to the tapped that I had on the body of the guitar. I then etched the image on to the body of the guitar. I then removed all of the finish of the guitar under the drawing. I then used a combination of hand tools (to carve) and a Demerol (to smooth) to remove about ¼ of the wood, sanded and applied a gloss finish to it.

On the back of all my Themed Guitars I have two guitar picks; a scale down theme of the front and my initials.

My Wolverine Themed Guitar

I'm thrilled to share that my Wolverine Themed Guitar took first place at the Michigan State Fair in 2023!

My Michigan Polar Bear Themed Guitar was not only used as the center piece for the art exhibit but it also took second place and is going to the Nationals. My Grandfather Amiel DeBusschere was a Michigan Polar Bear so this was made in honor of him and all the other who served.
