A bit about me

How I Got Started Carving

The Michigan State Fair had a table set up with a couple of wood carvers, and they had me try my hand at carving a block of wood. The next year, they asked me if I had carved anything, and I said yes. They said, "Then you have to show it next year." So I did, as shown below.

Born, raised, and lived in St. Clair County, Michigan.

  • 1976-1979: Studied Photography in Freiburg, Germany.

  • 1980-1982: Drawing and painting classes in Martinez, California.

  • 2006-2008: Sculpting and making pottery in Port Huron, Michigan.

  • 1994 - Present: Exotic & Wildlife Photographer in Michigan.

  • 1997 - Present: Self-taught sculptor in wood and stone.

  • 2022 - TikToker

  • 2024: Western Michigan University - Music Theory.

  • 2024 Self-taught guitar.

  • 2025 Youtuber

  • 2025 - Present: Creative and songwriting.

Took 2nd place at the Michigan State Fair.
